Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist will perform a broad range of HR-related duties and work closely with the HR Team. Responsibilities will include preparing and processing HR transactions, recruiting, affirmative action/EEO compliance, information and data gathering and will assist in the implementation of HR programs and initiatives, providing a high level of customer service and communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Responsible for delivering timely recruiting services (needs assessment, job posting, advertising, sourcing candidates, applicant screening, interviewing, candidate processing, reporting/metrics) that assures a high-quality candidate.
- Responsible for on-boarding including completion of new hire orientation, government documentation, background checks and drug testing, security access, benefit enrollment and new hire welcome kits.
- Creates announcements for new hires, promotions, and terminations; processes company changes/manages organizational charts.
- Coordinates separation of employees including conducting exit interviews, notifying appropriate parties within the organization, and responding to external agencies.
- Maintains and administers the affirmative action program and develops, implements, and executes AAP and related initiatives.
- Prepares and analyzes relevant HR metrics, reports, and audits (exit interview results analysis, hiring/termination statistics, documentation audits).
- Supports managers and supervisors in the administration of corrective action programs and disciplinary action for behavioral, performance, safety, and absenteeism.
- Support HR Manager with investigations and follow-up of complaints.
- Coordinates and manages annual open enrollment.
- Gathers and analyzes HR Metrics including headcount, absenteeism, and turnover rates.
- Assists with research on employment laws and HR policies; recommend and draft HR policies; revise existing policies.
- Supports HR processes and actively participates in efforts to streamline and improve HR activities and processes through technology.
- Participates in the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems that ensure compliance.
- Assists with planning and executing company activities including annual events and HR-related activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A) from an accredited college/university in Human Resources, Business Management, or related degree.
- 5+ years Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
- PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Proven ability to analyze/evaluate information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures.
- Ability to independently work on a broad variety of projects.
- Bi-lingual English / Spanish a must.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft suite. Advanced working knowledge of Excel.
- Must have effective organization, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now a plus.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations as it pertains to employment related matters.
