Alliance Industries is looking for a General Transcriptionist.
The General Transcriptionist is responsible for listening to audio recordings and converting them to written documents. The role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a proficiency in typing.
Responsibilities:
Audio Transcription:
- Transcribe spoken words into written text with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proofreading and editing:
- Review and edit transcriptions for errors in grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
- Ensure the final document in coherent, clear, and consistent.
Research:
- Conduct research as needed to clarify terminology or to ensure accurate transcription.
Time Management:
- Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines for transcription projects.
- Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
Confidentiality:
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information, especially when transcribing legal or medical content
Equipment and Technology:
- Use transcription equipment and software effectively to enhance productivity and accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to comprehend and accurately transcribe spoken words.
- High typing speed with accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transcriptions.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Education and Experience:
- HS diploma or General Education degree
- Previous transcription experience preferred
