MedStar Health is seeking an experienced general surgeon to lead our Integrated Surgery Department at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center. The ideal candidate should have exceptional surgical technique, enthusiasm, collaborative spirit, excellent communication skills, strong leadership qualities and at least three years of clinical experience after completion of their accredited residency or fellowship program.
Located just 16 miles southeast of Washington, D.C., MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center is a 250-bed, full-service acute care and 24-bed, sub-acute care facility with approximately 50,000 emergency room visits and approximately 14,000 admissions each year. Our hospital's commitment to advanced technology distinguishes it from community hospitals. MSMHC was the first in Southern Maryland to be certified as a Primary Stroke Center by the state of Maryland, and it remains the only certified Primary Stroke Center in Prince George's County.
Our exceptional team of general surgeons as well as advanced practice providers have vast experience with managing a broad spectrum of urgent and non-urgent general surgical conditions.
