SalaryJoin our General Surgery department as a General Surgery Coordinator Registered Nurse! This position is full-time, working 80 hours every two weeks, Monday-Friday, rotating 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. shifts. This position is a hybrid position, with the option to work from home on a rotational basis.
Job Summary:
The General Surgery Coordinator Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care for patients referred to or being seen for care in the surgery clinic. This position acts as a department's clinical lead, patient advocate, and care coordinator. The General Surgery Coordinator Registered Nurse (RN) will participate in coordination of patient care, department leadership, triage and provide prompt and accurate communication to the patients, physicians, and the health care team.
Education and Experience:
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- 3 years Clinical experience in ambulatory or acute care medical surgical setting preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Minnesota.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) per established policy required.
Qualifications:
- Experience with patient education preferred.
- Experience in surgery preferred including telephone triage, symptom management and wound care.
