JOB TITLE:General Production Worker

HOURS: 1st Shift (8am-4pm) 2nd Shift (4pm-12pm) 3rd Shift (12am-8am)
PAY RATE: Non-Exempt - Plus 2nd & 3rd Shift Premiums
REPORT TO: Production Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:
This entry level role will work primarily be in an indoor manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled. Typically working with another person or team to accomplish, moving product with a Forklift or Crane, assembling product, preparing product, finishing product, and storing finished product with a Forklift. On the Job Training will be provided for all aspects of the Job. This will include using some machines for assembly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete work in a timely manner and follow company policies while focusing on ensuring quality work and observing all safety and security procedures including reporting any potentially unsafe conditions.
Use all equipment, tools, and materials properly, follow instructions and respond to management.
Be accountable and responsible for your own actions.
Prepare daily logs and check sheets as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Basic Hand tool Experience. Utility knives, wrenches, screw drivers, hammers, caulk guns, etc.
Power tools and air tools experience is a plus. Sawzall, hand drill, impact wrench, nail gun, jig saw, router.
Forklift Experience is a plus. Onsite training will be provided and required.
Good communication, both written and verbal, (English and/or Spanish) is required.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing demands based upon business needs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The employee is frequently exposed to vibration and working near moving mechanical parts.
The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions from the manufacturing process.
The environment is not temperature controlled and therefore can vary greatly throughout the year based on weather conditions that occur in a typical manufacturing/shipping facility.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
