Norris Cylinder Company(a division of TriMas Corporation) is seeking individuals for our positionof General Production Worker for its Longview, Texas manufacturingplant. Norris Cylinder manufactures quality high-pressure steel and acetylenecylinders and is the only steel cylinder manufacturer in NorthAmerica.  Norris Cylinder operates with a promote from within policyfor individuals that wish to grow with us. This is a direct hire position. Inthis role you will: 

• Perform assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Comply with the work rules and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.
• Display appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive work environment with co-workers.
• Refer to work order or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work.
• Perform any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment.
• Assure that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.
• Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions.

Experience, Competencies and Education
Must posses an education or experience level thatpermits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignmentsand responsibilities of the job.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the documentsrelating to the job, function or assignment. 

Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to make decisions when identifyingin-process problems.  Ability to dealwith a variety of job assignments.
