Plant Manager

Summary/objective

Production Associates are responsible for efficiently operating production machines and completing various other duties out on the production/warehouse floor. The ideal team member should be able to work with consistent speed and accuracy to maintain production standards and work towards improving productivity without compromising quality.

Essential Functions

Duties can include but are not limited to:

• Assist with operating machinery during the production process
• Ability to monitor machines for problems
• Inspect finished products for defects using calipers and tape measures to ensure quality standards are met
• Check raw materials for quality and quantity before loading them into the machine.
• Transport materials from one place to another (pallet jack)
• Be able to perform basic calculations using a calculator.
• Follow written instructions and batch records.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
• Follow all work instructions and production schedules.
• Assist in training others on the machinery and processes.
• Open to training on the forklift and assisting with moving material and/or shipping if needed (training and certification are company provided)

Work environment

• Work inside or outside year-round. There is exposure to dirt, dust, rain, noise, equipment, and vibrations.
• PPE is required and will be provided.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. (Team Lift above 50 lbs.)
• Must be able to stay on feet up to 8 hours a day

Required education and experience

• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Basic computer skills (operating system, email, etc.)

Preferred education and experience

• 2 or more years of prior experience in a production setting preferred
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
