Job Description Marblehead Veterans Middle School is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of General Music Teacher and Middle School Band Director. The successful candidate will:
-Demonstrate a deep understanding of applicable music standards and MA Curriculum Frameworks
-Have the ability to instruct all students
-Create engaging project-based lessons
-Demonstrate expertise on the incorporation of keyboards, guitars, and ukuleles within the curriculum
-Have the ability to plan the musical repertoire and lead two, grade-based, middle school bands
-Have the ability to plan the musical repertoire and lead a middle school jazz band
-Collaborate successfully with teachers across the campus
-Inspire within students the desire to learn more about music
Teaching responsibilities:
-Five General Music classes based upon a quarter system.
-Band Director - Middle School Band (additional compensation)
-Jazz Band Advisor - Extra-curricular stipend position

Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Massachusetts DESE Music Teacher license encompassing grades 7 & 8 Preferred - Masters degree in applicable subject matter
