Position Title:General Mechanic Associate
Reports to: General Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt
Category: Full-time position, typically Mondays – Friday. Additional hours as needed/required.
Position Overview:
The General Mechanic is an essential member of the Southern Distilling Company team. SDC is seeking a General Mechanic that has a varied skillset and is open to learning and becoming proficient at additional skills. The General Mechanic is in responsible for general maintenance and repair on company vehicles (modern and antique) diesel and gas trucks, tractors, forklifts, etc. As well as specified distilling machinery/equipment as needed. The General Mechanic is energetic, takes pride in their work and can easily adapt to Southern Distilling Company needs.
Principal activities:
Maintain and repair Southern Distilling Company’s fleet of vehicles:
· General maintenance of vehicles includes but is not limited to oil changes, checking fluids, and inspection ready maintenance.
· Track inspection dates and take vehicles for annual inspections.
General maintenance of additional companywide distillery equipment that involves mechanical repair and maintenance assisting in repair and adjustments of production and operations.

● 2-3 years’ experience as a General Mechanic, including experience with cars (modern and antique), trucks, gas and diesel, forklift, tractors, etc.
● Must have Valid NC Driver’s License.
● Willing to work occasional overtime.
● High School Diploma or GED equivalent
● At least 18 years old

● Physically capable of working on feet, standing for long period of time, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, and kneeling in an unconditioned environment.
● Manual dexterity to use hands, arms, shoulders, lift items, etc.
● Lift and transfer at least 80 lbs.
