We are in search of a highly skilled and visionary leader to fill the role of Sr. Manager - Manufacturing, Stainless Steel. The incumbent will oversee all operations of a brand new 50,000 sq ft Stainless Steel manufacturing plant in Janesville WI.
The two core products to be manufactured in this facility include:
- Stainless Steel Welded Tubes & Pipes
- Stainless Steel Bright Bars
In this role, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction, overseeing the entire manufacturing process, and driving operational excellence.
As this is a new facility, the Sr. Manager will also be responsible for obtaining all the Licensing required for manufacturing. The incubment will also partner with the Chamber of Commerce, City Council, and key external vendors and stakeholders to ensure we have the necessary permits to begin operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide strategic leadership to the manufacturing facility, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals and objectives.
2. Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in steel tube and material production.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and human resources, to drive integrated and effective operations.
4. Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.
5. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
6. Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining operational excellence.
7. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation among the operational teams.
Qualifications:
- Proven executive leadership experience in a senior operations role, preferably within the steel manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and operational excellence methodologies.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities with a track record of driving organizational success.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale manufacturing operations, overseeing complex processes, and managing diverse teams.
