General Manager (Head Coach)

This person plays a crucial role in the development and growth of the team,  is responsible for all store operations, and holds themself accountable for the success of the business.  You love making people feel Awesome every day, but more than that – you are passionate about encouraging people to do their best, and leading high performing teams. You will be the smiling face of South Block to your Blockstars (Team Members) and fellow leadership, and your daily efforts will define what the community expects when visiting their neighborhood South Block!

• Do you cringe at the sound of ringing phones?  No phones in the store! Our customer service line is centrally managed to assist operators in focusing on the in-store guest experience

• Has cash management (till counting, tip share, armored car visits, etc.) taken you away from your core responsibilities in previous positions?  South Block is CASH FREE!

• Laptop provided for Head Coach administrative uses (screening & scheduling, video calls, monday reporting, inventory, etc.)

• Reasonable operating hours (8am-7pm Mon-Fri & 9am to 5pm Sat/Sun)

• You are an expert with People (screening, hiring, training, scheduling, talent recognition, people development, accountability, and store culture)

• Passionate about providing an amazing guest experience

• Attention to detail 

• Strong and nuanced understanding of business processes in unit operations 

• A Hands-On approach to daily disciplines and operations

• Open to feedback and learning new skills

• Full-time schedule availability

• Ensure quality control with the team 

• Prior management experience 

• Be 18 years of age or older 

• The ability to communicate in English and in a professional manner
