Coordinates and manages the manufacturing activities of several areas, ensuring to reach the manufacturing volume, and quality standards within the approved operation budget. Supervises the production tasks, quality and manufacturing engineering.
Cerro Fabricated Products is looking for its next General Manager to lead the business to sustainable, profitable growth. Cerro is an aluminum and brass, machining and closed die, forging company located in Weyers Cave, Va. This position has full P&L ownership with responsibility for all aspects of the business: commercial, human resources, engineering, quality, safety, and operations.
Objectives of this role

• Develop long term strategic plan to capitalize on CFPs precision machining and forging capabilities.
• Improve organizational effectiveness through positive leadership, process optimization, and by driving automation and innovation.
• Seek out opportunities for growth through market research and developing strategic business relationships.
• Lead an experienced and knowledgeable team to a high level of performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and successfully deliver annual budgets.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to include safety, quality, business development, and productivity.
• Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share.
• Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively.

Required skills and qualifications

• Proven success in leading a manufacturing organization. Ideally in a machining or other metal working environment.
• A servant leader with experience in developing high performance teams.
• Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans.
• Strong decision-making ability.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.

• Over 20 machining centers to include 5 axis machines.
