General Purpose:
Perform a variety of maintenance duties at The Creamery to keep the facility in top condition while addressing problems before they have a chance to worsen. Responsible for the overall appearance and performance of The Creamery facility and surrounding property to ensure a memorable and outstanding guest experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain business property and outside grounds - clean all exterior areas of the property including power washing the patio as often as needed (more frequently in the peak summer season), cleaning along fence lines to remove all debris, perform weed control in summer and snow removal in winter, maintain parking lot as needed, provide rodent and pest control, keep all areas of the property free from all debris and perform other miscellaneous duties
Maintain interior of the building and the warehouse including adjusting doors to ensure functionality, paint touchups where needed, monitor bathroom fixtures to ensure proper operation and perform other miscellaneous duties to ensure the building is looking and performing at its best
Maintain forklift and store van - maintain adequate fuel levels, check oil levels weekly, grease necessary parts monthly and change oil two times per year
Maintain HVAC filters - clean and/or replace as needed (more frequently during high usage months) and report any issues to supervisor
Maintain water softener system including required filter changes
Maintain all warehouse equipment
Daily inspection of all customer seating (both indoor and outdoor) to ensure proper function
Troubleshoot lighting issues and replace if needed
Assist with large deliveries including the moving of pallets of product
Assist with warehouse organization and cleanliness
Maintain clean drinking fountains for customers by cleaning daily
Maintain a list of approved service repair vendors for food service equipment
Track warranty on food service equipment
Haul off large debris items to the dump
Prepare building for seasonal changes
Ensure all repairs are documented and replacement requests elevated to supervisor
Complete work orders as assigned (general repairs, run errands, pick up supplies, etc.)
- Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive
- Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Up to 4 years of maintenance experience
- Certification and/or License - N/A
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of machine shop equipment
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Able to work in collaboration effectively and foster good teamwork
Able to follow directions and meet deadlines
- Able to perform all required preventative, productive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance procedures
- Able to demonstrate abilities to perform in a safe, positive, systematic fashion
Able to perform task and duties without constant supervision
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Role will require after hours and weekend calls
