Job Description
General Labor for our Grand Island, NE facility will assist in ensuring tear down of product in a timely and efficient manner to minimize production down time and on-time deliveries to our customers. In-depth training may be required to prepare for their daily duties. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Examining and verifying contents of incoming and outgoing shipments with bills of lading, packaging slips, invoices, and other shipping related documents.
- Receive incoming shipments and verifying contents match internal documents such as purchase orders.
- Preparing outgoing shipments by palletizing, shrink wrapping, banding, and weighing products.
- Preparing documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
- Managing the storage and inventory of shipping materials in an organized fashion.
- Organize and maintain inventory and shipping warehouse.
- Coordinate delivery of product by scheduling trucks through “My Carrier.”
- Ensuring all duties are carried out in an efficient and safe manner.
- Performing other duties that may be assigned by the Shipping and Receiving Manager and/or the Plant Manager.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to learn and improve to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- High School diploma or GED required. Adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of diploma or GED.
- Willingness to follow written or oral work instructions from the Production Manager and/or the Plant Manager.
- Ability to measure utilizing a tape measure, follow written instructions and document process for customer.
- Ability to work well with others, be organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Satisfactory pre-employment drug testing is required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- After 30 days of employment, employee is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Sick pay and vacation accruals begin after first day of employment.
- Vacation and sick pay accruals can be used, once eligible.
