Schedule: Full time, overtime available
$19 per hour
Benefits are available after 60 days!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor crushing operations; perform labor as needed for repair and maintenance.
- Operates loader to effectively complete jobs.
- Performs maintenance of gravel crushing and screening plant
- Cleans up spilled material around conveyors using shovel and/or skid steer
- Operates the plant to provide maximum production and efficiency
- Conducts daily inspections, maintenance, fueling and operation of equipment
- Operates equipment in a safe manner; always in control of equipment
- Produce material that will provide the most consistent, highest quality end products
- Lubricate, adjust or repair machinery and replace parts, such as gears, bearings etc.
- Perform manual labor, such as shoveling by hand
- Know and follow all company safety policies as well as MSHA regulations
- Practice safety always
- Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions when clarification is needed.
- Maintains clean and safe work areas (sweep debris, gather and discard trash, remove snow and ice).
- Understand OSHA guidelines and procedures, lockout/tag out procedures.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to the immediate supervisor and Safety Manager.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be able to show proof of age over 18, identity and right to work in the US
- Must be able to pass drug screen
- Valid Driver's License
- Previous experience in a sand/gravel/quarry environment preferred
- Ability to obtain MSHA certification
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment and tools preferred
