Job description – General Labor - Underground Telecommunications

Brock & Sons Inc. is a turn-key telecommunications contractor that specializes in fiber optic and coaxial cable.

We are looking for individuals that have experience in Underground Telecommunications. This position assists crews install underground telecommunication infrastructure such as vaults, pedestals and conduit systems.

Responsibilities Include

-Excavating, setting pull boxes, precast slabs and pedestals around existing utilities.

-Maintaining equipment and vehicles.

-Exposing existing utilities and restoration of soft and hard surface areas.

-Operating and driving trucks with trailers.

-Proofing and pulling cable through new and existing conduit systems.

- Trenching and installation of cable/conduit with excavators.

Time and Location

- Monday - Friday. Typical work hours are 7am-5pm. The ability to be flexible on start and end times is preferred. Overtime and weekend work available.

- Work is local to Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Dayton. Start and end in Fairfield, Ohio.

- No travel required outside of Greater Cincinnati.

Experience

- At least 2 years of underground telecommunication experience required.

- Proficiency operating and maintaining a mini excavator.

- Spectrum cable experience is preferred.

- A proficient understanding of underground utility excavation and practices.

- A willingness to learn and partake in a team effort.

- A valid driver’s license is required.

- Must have a clean driver’s license without major infractions.

- Must be able to up consistently lift up to 50lbs, comfortable standing several hours and prepared to work in outside conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
