*NOTE* Will need to complete a 60-working-day contract with a staffing agency prior to be hired onto our payroll. Starting rate while at the staffing agency is $16.77 per hour and raises to $17.71 when hired onto our payroll.

Material Sciences Corporation (MSC) is an award-winning provider of metal solutions for a wide array of markets, including: automotive, consumer goods and construction. Our state-of-the-art Canfield, Ohio facility has an immediate opening for a full-time General Laborto join our team. This position requires a candidate that is willing to work any shift/any day (rotating) and overtime as needed. This position is a contract-to-hire position (60 working days). Full-time position after contract is fulfilled by successful candidate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs handy work as assigned throughout the plant and grounds using a variety of hand tools, equipment and materials.
• Provides stocking, supplying, sampling, material handling, weighing, packaging, equipment cleaning, minor preventative maintenance and repairs, workplace organization and housekeeping etc.
• Assists maintenance team with basic repairs and equipment installation as directed.
• Loads and unloads incoming and outgoing shipments of coils, materials and goods.
• Maintains and requisitions supplies.
• Forklift & Crane experience a plus.
• All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work well with others.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
