We’re looking for a qualified General Foreperson to join our amazing team in Arizona. Our headquarters are in Oakhurst, CA, however, we have positions throughout the West Coast and the East Coast.
General Foreperson
- A General Foreperson takes responsibility for the equipment, safety, and work being performed on his crew
- Must be fluent in English (Bilingual preferred)
- Must have leadership experience in the utility industry
- Minimum of 2.5 years of Line Clearance/Utility Vegetation Management experience.
- Competent in using electronic devices relative to AW projects
- Ensure operations follow all industry regulations and company policies
- Ensures all employees are qualified to perform any task asked of them
- Qualified means that the company has documentation on file to show proof of such qualifications
- Ensures all on the crew fully understand the hazards of their job site and each person knows their role in the event of an emergency
- Conducts incident investigations and completes related reports when applicable
- Conducts effective morning tailboards, and on the job training when needed
- Providing and pre-planning adequate work for crews, auditing work performed to ensure compliance and quality
- Understands the economics involved, tracks the productivity of crews and adjusts were needed to ensure profitability
- Requests T/M where applicable and follows all procedures related to securing T/M
- Effectively lead your team in a professional manner while holding each crew member accountable for his/her actions, ie…. write up documentation
- Professionally interface with outside agencies, ie… PI’s, Auditors, Company Representatives, etc
- Effective communication via email, text message, and telephone with all Supervisors and Office Admin, includes the use of Outlook. Must meet all deadlines/timelines as established by management for the submission of all required paperwork. Approves all employee time cards. All paperwork should be accurate and timely.
- Accountable for all deficiencies found within the crew as well as all equipment issued to the crew
- Responsible for all day-to-day maintenance on all vehicles/equipment issued to the crew and communicating with the fleet department about the need for routine maintenance and repairs
Required Certifications
- Valid Driver License (Commercial Driver License preferred)
- Line Clearance Qualified
- CPR and first aid certification. (Within 90 days of hire date)
Preferred Certifications
- ISA Certified Arborist
- Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP
