We are looking for a capable and reliable general laborer to join our team. You'll take direction from the project foreman to help prepare job sites, load and unload construction materials, remove debris, assist team members, and perform any other general labor needed to get the job done right. Responsibilities
• Perform physical labor at construction projects related to new construction, demolition, and renovation
• Assist with forming and filling foundations
• Demolition work
• Preparing and installing door frames
• General cleaning of work sites
• Loading and unloading
• Assist other workers such as Electricians, Carpenters, Operators, and Superintendents
• Stack and prep all of the tools and building materials that are needed for a project in order to keep everything organized
• Work with your crew through all stages of the project to make sure that the job is done efficiently
• Clear away any trash, debris, or hazardous materials to prep the site before construction begins
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure you and your team members are free from injury
• Ensure that all materials, tools and other debris from the build have been removed at the end of the project to make sure the work site is clean
Qualifications
• One year labor experience related to construction is required
• Driver's license and ability to travel between work sites is required
• Must have the ability to carry out basic verbal and written correspondence, instructions, rules, policies
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic in order to complete job tasks
• Must be able to use measuring devices such as tapes and gauges
• Some experience using construction equipment, forklift, hand tools, and power tools highly preferred
• Knowledge of basic engineering and Construction Laborer methods is preferred, but we will provide training
• Important to be able to work independently and with a team, take direction and follow-through
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination, good balance, and have the physical strength to be able to do the work
• High school diploma or GED preferred
