General Construction Laborer

We are looking to hire a full-time laborer to join our team. We are a small excavation company specializing in excavation and finish grading for electrical substations and transmission lines. As a general laborer, you will play a crucial role in performing manual labor tasks associated with a variety of needs on the excavation site. Pay will be dependent on experience, but the hourly range is $20-28/hour plus we offer the possibility of overtime pay, double-time pay, bonus pay and paid time off. We also offer full paid medical insurance, including dental and vision, a Simple IRA plan.

Position is full time Monday-Friday; however, weekends may be required during the busy season. This position requires out of town travel; we cover the hotel up front and pay $100 per day per diem when travel is required.

Responsibilities:

· Clean and prepare jobsites by removing debris and materials

· Operate hand and power tools, such as shovels, rakes, drills, saws and hammers

· Load and unload materials and supplies

· Operate power tools

· Perform physical tasks requiring minimum skill and/or experience

· Assist other crew members as needed

· Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (Heat, Cold, Rain, Wind, etc)

· May be required to be in prolonged bending/twisting, walking, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, squatting, pushing/pulling, standing or lifting

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License is required
• Valid social security card is required
• Previous laborer experience is a plus, but not required. We will train the right people to be a part of our team
• Must be able to learn from hands-on-training and follow directions easily
• Must be able to follow directions in a Safety-First environment
• Must have strong work ethic
• Must be willing to learn from others
• Must understand all safety hazards related to the work and also learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment
• Must observe details of the job and uphold our standards of work quality
