Assigned to the Modernization Displacement and Repair Site (MDRS) at Fort Liberty, North Carolina, the General Clerk III is responsible for performing various general clerical task such as data entry, filing documents, answering multi-line phones/voicemail systems, scheduling appointments, reviewing records, producing reports. The General Clerk III is required to have an understanding of workplace operations such as external and internal policies and procedures. Duties may chance to support operations as needed.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
- Monitor e-mails and phone calls from customers requesting assistance with scheduling turn in appointments and questions regarding induction processes of equipment.
- Follows clearly detailed procedures in completing clerical tasks to support customer service counter, which includes maintaining accurate filing systems.
- Process DD Form 1149 to schedule shipments of equipment.
- Perform initial document reconciliation. Provide customer clear instruction on steps to resolve residue shortages.
- Schedule customer units for ammunition issues and turn-in in accordance with operational priorities.
- Track transactions and submit Transportation Movement Request (TMR)s
- Preform initial (QC) check on all documents processed at the customer service counter.
- Prepare and maintain delinquent document list.
- Utilizes experience and knowledge to determine the clerical steps (type or sequence) to be used, depending on the task.
- Recognized problems are referred to leads or supervisor
- Assists in taking inventories through physical count and records item count on inventory documents.

- Ensures supporting documents are filed in accordance with Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS)

WORKING ENVIROMENT:
- Majority of work will typically be in a office environment. However, there will be requirements to work in a warehouse and outdoors environment.
- There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme hot and cold weather conditions.
- A normal work week is 40 hours (5 days a week).

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
- Computers, Fax machine, Copier, Printer and Phones.
- Personal computer systems, Microsoft Office Programs, any other pertinent software and general office equipment.
- Steel Toe shoes may be required to be worn in designated areas.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Face Mask that covers nose and mouth required.
- Use of Government Furnished vehicle.
- Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
- Physical Activities include but are not limited to the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stooping, climbing and prolonged standing and/or sitting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be able to maintain driving privileges to the Fort Liberty Installations.
EXPERIENCE:
- Two (2) years' experience in performing secretarial duties
- Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative
- environment.
- Capacity to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Department of Defense Logistics
SKILLS:
