General Assembler - Panel Builder

Quantum Design is looking for a dedicated, hard-working, and dependable candidate with a positive attitude who possesses solid mechanical skills and has the willingness to learn.  The assembler will perform tasks that are necessary to our production processes for aid in fabrication of components and products.

 Job Responsibilities

·         Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies

·         Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions

·         Assemble components and verify for correct fit, form, and function

·         Layout and assemble control enclosures and panels per drawings

·         Layout and punch/cutout all holes in electrical enclosures as required per the drawings to mount components

·         Layout, drill and tap all holes in subpanels as required per the drawings to mount components

·         Mount components on subpanels per schematics

·         Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

·         Basic understanding of drawings

·         Ability to read and utilize basic measuring equipment

·         Proficient with operating hand tools, power tools, and other related equipment

·         Good mechanical skills and attention to detail

·         Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, ability to grasp and assemble parts and components that vary in size

·         Ability to lift 75lbs

·         Dependable with a positive attitude

Education / Experience

·         High school diploma or GED

·         Previous manufacturing experience
