Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Alpharetta, GA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Attach gearbox housing and couplings to build stand.
  • Install gears, bearings, and housings.
  • Measure for accurate clearances using a calibrated instrument (depth gauge, caliper, micrometer, etc).
  • Install spacers and covers and various fasteners, plugs, and hardware
  • Demount the gearbox from the build stand.
  • Inspect, test (if applicable), and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
  • Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames.
  • Disassemble units to replace parts or to crate them for shipping.
  • Position, align, and adjust parts for accurate fit and assembly.
  • Attach name plates and mark identifying information on parts.
  • Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and verniers.
  • Inspect parts for surface defects.
  • Align, fit, or assemble parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes.
  • Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of materials, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
  • Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
  • Clean working areas and parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths. Inventory tools.
  • Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations.
  • Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems.
  • Conduct 6S audits and safety walks.
  • Participate in work groups/projects to inform oneself to provide information to others and to optimize processes and workflows.

Here's what you'll get:

  • Pay Rate: $18-$20/Hour
  • Hours: 40 hours/week 2nd shift- 5:30 pm to 4:00 am, Monday through Thursday
  • Length: Temp (3 Months)

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with electromechanical assembly
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Wiring
  • Minimum 2 years of assembly experience reading and interpreting schematic drawings

  • Be able to read complex schematics
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
  • Knowledge of environmental health and safety laws and procedures.
  • Knowledge of product, workmanship standards, and assembly procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of computer software applications.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of machines, power tools, and hand tools, including their designs, uses repair, and operator-level maintenance.
  • Knowledge of basic lean principles and techniques for optimizing processes and eliminating waste.
  • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing the performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  • Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Communicating effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Mechanical Assembly - Assembling mechanical connections and components as per drawings, instructions, and procedures.
  • Collaboration- Working with others to achieve a common goal.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Ability to physically lift 35 pounds
  • Ability to work safely and to operate power tools and equipment in a safe manner
