EMPLOYEE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The employee will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support to NGC US Gear manufacture. Responsibilities include:
- Report to the Operation Manager
- Comprehension of internal drawings, bills of material, and procedural documentation.
- Maintain, develop and improve Gears grinding documentation.
- Reads blueprint or machine instructions to define fixtures and grinding wheel to use, machine settings and gear dimensions tolerances.
- Programming, sets up and operates gear grinding machines to grind gear teeth surface, following machining instructions and applying knowledge of gear grinding techniques.
- Evaluate and Inspect gears with P150 gear measurement machine.
- Refers to the P-150 gear profile report to calibrate grinding machine.
- Investigate and diagnose manufacturing failures.
- All the inspection and manufacture document achievement.
- Equipment and tools maintenance.
- Design the machining needed fixtures and tools.
- Communicating with HQ engineers and griding specialists.
- Crane and Forklift operation per job requirement.
- Work area 5S management.
- Quality control: Gear grinding quality assurance.
- Perform other production-related tasks as requested.
- Adherence to safety requirements, such as PPE, chemical safety (MSDS), crane, forklift, and workstation inspections
- Adherence to internal systems related to Quality, ISO, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) to ensure an efficient, competent, and effective operation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- A strong mechanical background.
- Must be bilingual English – Mandarin
- Proficiency with Microsoft® Office, SolidWorks® or similar software and other internal programs.
- Must have a customer focused attitude and excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Experience with operation of Hofler gear grinding machines is preferred
- Knowledge of gear grinding process and gear inspection requirements is preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
