Job Purpose:
The GBS Financial Analyst Intern will support the GBS Center of Excellence team on design, building, testing, and implementation of new business processes as part of the transformation initiatives including but not limited to Robotic Process Automation.
Overview:
Intern assignments will be project-oriented and focus on CoE activities including: Robotic Process Automation (RPA), reporting, analytics, and other automation initiatives. Assignments vary according to business need and intern qualifications. All are designed to stretch your skills and to support your professional development by providing clear goals and actionable feedback on your performance. In addition, you will be participating in a program that encompasses:
• Approximately ten-week summer assignment at Masonite's corporate headquarters in Tampa, Florida
• Development of personal and professional skills through training, networking, and mentoring relationships
• Interactions with other Masonite departments and plant operations during month end close activities, P&L reviews, account reconciliation research/resolution and the capital/fixed asset business processes
• The opportunity to build teamwork skills through interaction with other interns and colleagues
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Enhances and supports Masonite's Robotic Process Automation (RPA) program by providing project management, process mapping, and future state design
  • Provide in depth analysis and tracking on variances as well as other financial analysis and ad hoc reporting as required
  • Research into data sources and financial metric calculations to build a data model. Development will include back-testing, accuracy checks, model verification, and variance analysis.
  • Forges relationships and partners/collaborates with customers - helping to maintain service level expectations of the CoE.
  • Participates in the continuous improvement activities of the CoE team - identifying issues, problem-solving as well as automation opportunities Exchange information clearly and concisely and to present ideas, report facts, and other pertinent information
  • Will work effectively both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Assist in GBS engagement and safety initiatives such as the 2024 GBS Day, safety assessments, and presentations
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a university at the Junior or Senior level
  • Major: Finance, Accounting or Management Information Systems
  • GPA: 3.3 minimum

Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and other business applications
Exposure to PowerBI or other business visualization tools
Aptitude to quickly learn diverse types of software and systems
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Critical thinking skills
Results orientation
Business acumen
