Responsible for receiving inbound / outbound tractors and trailers coming into and departing the Unimex Laredo facility. The position requires Gate Guards to be able to perform interchange trailer inspections for all inbound / outbound trailers coming into and departing the facility. The position will not be a stand alone position, Gate Guards will be in and out of the guard booth on site, receiving inbound / outbound trailers as well as refueling Company tractors and trailers with Def and Diesel fuel at our facility's refueling area. The position also requires knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft Office products during the course of respective shifts. The position requires Gate Guards to be able to perform a facility yard inventory in accurately annotating the current number of loaded and empty trailers on hand at the facility at any given time. This position involves a lot of multi-tasking and ability to adapt to the circumstances based on the amount of traffic flow coming into or departing the facility at a given time.
The position is ideal for applicants with previous Gate Guard or Logistics experience.
We are looking for applicants with at least 1-2 years prior experience working as a Gate Guard or in a Logistics environment.
Applicants will not be put on a shift on their own immediately, but instead will go through a paid training period to understand the Gate Guard / Trailer Inspector process at the facility and after the training period, placed on a set shift.
The facility is open 24 hours / 7 days a week and we have a Gate Guard on site throughout that time. We are open Monday through Sunday, 24 hours / 7 days a week.'
