The position consists of a leadership role as GI site director / full time faculty GI attending at one of the three OBH hospitals. This position will allow the candidate to combine their clinical practice with training of fellows and residents with significant opportunities for career development in a leadership role. We are open to interviewing both new graduates and experienced gastroenterologists. All endoscopies are performed in a state-of-the-art hospital endoscopy suite with full anesthesia support. Training in ERCP is preferred, but not mandatory.
Position Description and Responsibilities:
- Provide specialty care to patients with GI disorders in an inpatient and outpatient setting
- Contribute to the delivery of inpatient GI consultation and inpatient endoscopy services
- Supervise and mentor gastroenterology fellows, medical residents and medical students assigned to the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Service
- Collaborate with other team members and practitioners to ensure excellent patient care, quality outcomes and high patient satisfaction
Position Requirements:
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University
- Currently licensed NY State registration (or the ability to obtain one)
- Board Eligible / Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A track record of being patient-centered with good outcomes and high patient satisfaction
