Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support retail customers with their tree and plant material needs.
· Support receiving, measuring, and tagging of incoming plant material.
· Support inventory counting on a regular basis.
· MUST be able to drive an off-road vehicle to support customers who cannot walk the tree farm.
· Process sales transactions.
· Schedule and follow up on planting appointments.
· Training and maintaining knowledge of POS system for retail office.
· Answer the phones.
· Stay up to date on merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information.
· Greet and welcome customers.
· Learn and share plant material knowledge.
· Help maintain the plant material/garden pad on a rotating schedule.
· General cleaning and organizing of nursery/retail office space to include cleaning two bathrooms.
· Training and maintaining knowledge of sticker and tagging system in the retail office.
· Reporting relationship will be directly to the business’ Wholesale Operations Manager.
Basics:
· Hourly role at a pay rate of $18.00 per hour plus 3% commission on Retail Sales when scheduled to work as sales for the day, based off a point system for days worked. See Employee Handbook for details.
· You will be classified as non- exempt, meaning that you will be entitled to overtime pay.
Benefits:
· Accrue up to 15 days of PTO each year; Garden Center Retail Sales Associateis still responsible for ensuring coverage while on PTO and must clear PTO plan with Retail Operations Manager no later than two (2) weeks in advance of intended days.
· Six paid vacation days
· Anticipated start date of March 25, 2024.
