A Day in the Life

The Garage Attendant is responsible for directing vehicles entering and leaving the parking garage, making security rounds through building, collecting parking fees and issuing parking tickets/liability waivers. Skill sets served include but are not limited to demonstrated ability to carry and utilize two-way radio, proven experience handling money, and experience effectively handling customers and providing excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs security patrols and keeps unauthorized persons out of garage.
• Monitors CCTV (security cameras). Constant monitoring.
• Collects parking fees from public.
• Drives Company cars and trucks for business-related reasons.
• Cleans and keeps garage, offices, elevators, stairs, washrooms and outside areas in orderly condition; removes trash and snow; paints. Performs hosing with high-pressure water and vacuums floors.

Desired Competencies and Skills:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory and safe driving record required.
• Proven ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions.
• Demonstrated experience effectively handling customers and providing excellent customer service.
