Engineering Garage Assistant demonstrates a mechanical aptitude and writing skills specified below:
- DocumentLabor Time Studies and create a finalreport based on findings.
- Observe and document step-by-stepthetechnicianwork and time.
- PrioritizedailytasksbetweenLTS and other supportservices.
- Move and park vehicles to accommodate HMA Executives and associates.
- Performlightvehiclemaintenance (i.e., interiorcleaning,exteriorwashing)andorganizationaltasks(e.g.,installinglicenseplatebrackets, placing stickers,tags).
- Test drive new vehicles within the national headquarters parkingstructure andperformpre-deliveryinspection (PDI) checklist.
- Manage vehicle flow according to departmentassignedparkingareas and NSG general parking lot.
- Completeallassignedtasks,trackvehiclekeys,filedocuments, and other assigneddutiesrequested by theSupplier’ssupervisor.
- Supportlabortimebased on theHMA-approvedpracticerepairprocess and procedures.
- Documenton video allrepairs and proceduresfor labor timevalidity.
- DocumentdealerLTSreports of findings to the Supplieraccountmanager and HMAProjectManager for final approval.
- Assist in development and communication of repairsolutions to HMA’sQuality and ServiceEngineeringdepartment.
- Setup and supporteachlaboroperation. Observe and document actual LTStechnician labor timefor each laboroperation in comparisonwithHMAlabortimes and standardizedprocess by vehicle.
- Perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting.
- Track, inspect, and receive part shipments.
- Maintain shop and office safety, cleanliness, and normal 5S standards (e.g., Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).

Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license and meet HMA VehicleAdministrationDepartmentrequirements.
- High School Diploma/General Education Development Test(GED).
- Proficient in computerand typing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft365 (one (1) year preferred).

The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXi, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $19.00 to $22.00 hourly based on current experience.
