This position will assist the Gallery Manager as well as Tamarack MarketPlace artists/artisans. Assist patrons with answering questions in reference to product, artists/artisans, exhibition, and Tamarack MarketPlace.
- Meet and Greet customers in a friendly pleasant manner.
- Assist with exhibition prep and installation.
- Physically arrange and hang pieces in an aesthetically pleasing way.
- Contact artists to verify drop off/pick up times.
- Update gallery database and organize consignment forms.
- Create tags, answer questions.
- Working knowledge of the product and artisans.
- Adding and adjusting inventory using RetailPro.
- Answer phones and email.
- Maintains current information on vendors /artisans.
- Is consistently at work when scheduled and on time
- Completes work in timely safe manner; works quickly
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, shift work and flexible schedules.
- Maintain (physical and electronic) files on sales, vendor codes and adjustments.
- Other duties as assigned.
- B.A. degree in Art or Art History is preferred.
