As an engineer you have a talent identifying and solving technical issues. We'd like you to put those talents to good use by joining the FX Options front office development team.
The candidate will work on many different projects with various sizes of scope and responsibility all focused on the development, enhancement and support of FX Options front office systems. The candidate will have responsibility for full life cycle development including requirement gathering from the business, design, implementation, testing and deployment of enhancements and new applications. The position requires excellent practical core Java development experience and a strong OO understanding. The candidate must be highly motivated and be able to function with light supervision to carry out the tasks necessary to deliver quality solutions.
The candidate will have excellent communication skills and will interact with internal clients such as, trading, quants, sales, technology and operations groups.
The candidate will be an enthusiastic team player will be interacting with colleagues globally, including in Hong Kong, New York and London.
Qualifications
Required Qualification
+ Professional Java development experience: 5+ years
+ Communication: able to express ideas clearly and concisely (in person, in emails, and on the phone)
+ Strong fundamentals (core java, multithreading, OO)
+ Comfortable with XML
Desired Qualification
+ Knowledge of Foreign Exchange trading systems, especially electronic trading
+ Capable SQL (Queries, sps, views, join, etc.; Sybase preferred)
+ Problem solving/Mathematical/Analytical
+ Design Patterns
+ Sybase tools
