Position: Future Professor Fellow in Mathematics The College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) seeks a full-time, Future Professor Fellow in Mathematics to begin Fall 2024.  This position is a 3-year contract, expiring in June 2027, with the possibility of conversion to tenure track. The length of the contract is negotiable based on time to degree completion. At Alvernia University, our "Future Professor Fellow" is referred to as a fellowship program designed to support and mentor individuals who aspire to become professors or academics in the future.  Our aim is to provide fellows with valuable teaching, research, and professional development experiences to prepare them for careers in academia. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in mathematics and statistics, advising students, and providing service to the University.  Candidates will also have the ability to explore professional development opportunities.  Required Qualifications: Candidates should provide evidence of progress toward a Ph.D.  We seek candidates who have completed most requirements for the doctoral degree except the dissertation (ABD).   Preferred Qualifications: Candidates should provide evidence of quality teaching experience Qualified candidates should have experience as a teaching assistant in a variety of undergraduate mathematics courses. Alvernia has a bold approach to becoming a 21st-century, modern regional university. This includes the rapid expansion of enrollment through new academic majors in engineering, health care, and more.
