Position Summary:
This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, inventorying, and stocking furniture, accessories, and supplies. Under the direction of the Visual Manager or Warehouse Supervisor, unpacks items and prepares them for display on showroom floor. The Warehouse Associate will provide assistance in removing furniture, fixtures, accessories, and rugs from the show room floor to be transferred out of store. They will also provide assistance in unloading transfer trucks. They will be responsible for minimizing delays and for resolving or reporting problems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assumes responsibility for efficiently inventorying, ordering, receiving, stocking and rotating incoming furniture, accessories and samples
- Scans inventory cycles and records numbers
- Inspects incoming product for proper quality and quantity
- Checks invoice information for accuracy and proper merchandise received
- Scans product in appropriate storeroom location
- Moves product as directed by Warehouse Supervisor or Visual Merchandise Manager
- May drive the store Van for location deliveries as directed
- Pulls product from transfer truck and back room in accordance with requisition information
- Keeps back room clean, secure and well maintained
- Communicates with other departments to obtain information and/or correct problems
- Assists area personnel and customers as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Excellent Customer Service
- Furniture warehouse experience preferred
- Knowledge of safety standards
- Ability to perform qualify inventory management
- Able to climb on ladders
- Ability to use a utility knife and hand scanner

Must be able to work weekends and some holidays.
