DESCRIPTION:
Shoppe Amber Interiors, a high-end lifestyle store with multiple brick and mortar locations and a growing ecommerce business, is looking to grow our fulfillment team. We are currently seeking a Furniture Delivery Assistant Driver to join our team and assist in providing exceptional delivery and relocation services to our valued customers. As the Assistant Driver you will be an essential part of our operations, ensuring safe transportation of furniture and goods while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
FURNITURE DELIVERY ASSISTANT DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Periodically operate company vehicles to transport furniture and goods to designated locations promptly and safely, adhering to traffic rules and regulations.
- Responsible for keeping vehicles fueled in accordance to company policy
- Responsible for notifying management of needed repairs.
- Load and unload furniture and other items, utilizing proper lifting and moving techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Responsible for all weekly deliveries and photoshoot deliveries and installs.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate packing standards for all products loaded into the truck and moved between locations.
- Assist the receiving and shipping team with all large freight orders.
- Help put product away accurately.
- Inspect products for defects and damages before and during delivery.
- Support with offloading and onloading of inventory while following company safety guidelines.
- Inspect products for defects and damages during receiving and packing.
- Assist the receiving and shipping team with all large freight orders.
- Help put product away accurately within the RF Smart binning process.
- Support all weekly deliveries and photoshoot deliveries and installs.
- Assist in gathering accurate delivery documentation and BOLs for local deliveries.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate packing standards for all products loaded into the truck and moved between locations.
- Additionally, this position may ride with the Company truck or automobile to deliver products and/or pick up merchandise
- Support in keeping the warehouse floor and inventory organized and clean.
Follow all safety rules and applicable laws.
FURNITURE DELIVERY ASSISTANT DRIVER SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to write clear and grammatical reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees.
- Ability to operate a hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
- Be a team player
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and mobilize large items, up to 50 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
FURNITURE DELIVERY ASSISTANT DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of warehouse experience preferably in home decor or interiors.
- Experience driving a 26’ box truck and sprinter van.
- Valid California Department of Motor Vehicles Driver’s license for the class of vehicle to be operated
- Must have no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses.
- Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle record
