Job Description

As a Furniture Assembler at Big Deal Outlet, your role is crucial to ensuring our products are presented seamlessly on the sales floor. Your responsibilities include receiving and assembling various items, such as furniture, accessories, and appliances, utilizing your previous experience with hand tools. You will also play a key role in pricing furniture and ensuring its presentability in our stores. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining a positive and professional appearance.

What You Will Do:

• Unload product deliveries efficiently.
• Assemble a variety of products, including furniture, accessories, and appliances.
• Price furniture according to company standards and procedures.
• Move assembled furniture to the sales floor.
• Ensure the presentability of furniture on the sales floor.
• All other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience with basic hand tools and furniture assembly.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently.
• Proven history of honesty, integrity, and reliability.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail.

What You Will Experience:

Work is generally performed in a retail store environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Stand or sit for long periods of time
• Use a computer to enter data
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand needs
• Perform repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement
• Feel the attributes of objects, grasp, push, and reach with arms or hands.
• Move objects up to 10 lbs. (Must be able to frequently move/lift objects up to 25 lbs. in weight. Moving/lifting objects in excess of 50 lbs. in weight is consistent in relation to the current project being assembled/moved.)
