- Control and monitoring of Heat Treat furnace equipment
- Prepare parts for loading into furnace, including wiping and final cleaning as necessary.
- Ensure proper Heat Treat cycle is used
- Monitor leak rate and progress of load during cycle.
- Maintain furnace systems including preventative maintenance checks on pumps and other items listed in the maintenance log.
- Recognize equipment failures. Detect faulty processes and provide input for their resolution.
- Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered.
- Train and oversee others on prior job experience.
- Work under limited oversight.
- Reads and understands manufacturing planning, blueprints, and specifications as necessary to perform the job function.
- Understanding and ability to perform basic equipment trouble shooting.
- Knowledge of shop math and precision measurement equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
- Willingness and ability to learn and retain new skills.
- Compliance with general attendance standards is required.
- Capable of reading and understanding written instructions, procedures, safety rules and operating instructions.
- Ability to perform basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must be able to near high temperature equipment throughout the day.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Shift Premium
- 2nd shift (swing shift) employees receive a 12% shift premium.
