Working as part LGIMA's Business Relationship team, the ideal candidate would be responsible for the daily administration of our LLC and CIT investment vehicles. In addition the candidate would also be responsible for addressing adhoc client requests and preparing the operations model for new business offerings and trading instruments. The role offers in depth knowledge of the Investment Management process and builds upon relationships with global operational teams, external fund administrators, client services and fund managers.
This role is base in Illinois.
Responsibilities
• Perform the review and communication of daily subscription, redemption and transfer of client holdings
• Ensure that internal bookings properly reflect client and portfolio manager directed activity
• Coordination with custodians, transfer agents, and trustees to ensure successful processing of client flow activity
• Ensure proper completion of/produce fund subscription and redemption documentation for LLCs & CITs
• Manage client flow data, enquiries and operational tasks
• Organization and safekeeping of all fund related flow information and documentation
• Preparation of transaction cost calculations and transition account activity
• With use of technology, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to add further control, organization and future scalability around fund oversight process
• Identify and implement enhancements to current procedures that promote automation, risk reduction and compliance with internal audit and regulatory requirements
• Perform review of fund administrator and trustee generated reporting, including investor statements
• Service adhoc Client Service and Portfolio Management requests
• Fund Audit management and completion of Form PF. Ensure documentation and other regulatory requirements are met with respect to SOC1, internal audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Participation in ad hoc project assignments specific to new instrument and product rollouts
• Ensure that processes and procedures remain up-to-date to reflect current practices
Qualifications
• 1-3 years work experience within a financial institution. Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or have related work experience.
• Fund structure and Defined Contribution/Defined Benefit plan knowledge a plus
• Understanding of fixed income and equity products
• Familiarity with trade lifecycle and investor capital activity in pooled fund vehicles (a plus)
• Must have strong PC experience with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and Salesforce (a plus)
• Organized and able to prioritize work effectively and work following tight deadlines
• A self-starter who is vocal in identifying areas of improved efficiency and offer potential solutions
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Commitment to providing excellent service for clients and portfolio managers
