As a Fumigation Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in fumigation procedures and ensuring the safe transportation of materials to various locations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform fumigation procedures in residential and commercial properties, ensuring the effective eradication of pests and insects.
• Safely handle and apply fumigants and pesticides in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Operate and maintain specialized fumigation equipment and tools.
• Drive a company vehicle with a CDL Hazmat endorsement to transport fumigation materials and equipment to job sites.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hazardous materials handling procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients to address their concerns and questions.
• Maintain accurate records of fumigation activities, including materials used, quantities, and locations.
• Assist in the inspection of properties to determine the extent of pest infestations and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations.
• Ensure the company vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid CDL with Hazmat Endorsement.
• Previous experience in fumigation or pest control industry preferred.
• Knowledge of fumigation techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, based on customer demand.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and materials, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
• Stamina to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including bending, stooping, crawling, and standing.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating fumigation equipment and tools.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, such as attics and crawl spaces.
• Comfortable wearing and working in personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators, gloves, and goggles.
• Agility and balance for climbing ladders and accessing elevated areas during inspections and fumigation procedures.
• Ability to withstand exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
• The work environment may include exposure to pesticides, fumigants, and other hazardous chemicals. Strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines is mandatory.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often in confined and tight spaces where pests are commonly found.
• Frequent travel is required to different job sites, requiring long periods of driving and the ability to navigate through various road and weather conditions.
• Interaction with clients and team members is common; strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication.
• The job may involve occasional weekend or evening work based on customer demand.
