Full Time Staff Accountant

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounts
- Conduct financial audits to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis
- Utilize accounting software such as quickbooks and service or similar systems

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial auditing procedures
- Experience with governmental accounting is a plus
- Familiarity with payroll processing and related regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
