Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Contract Duration: ASAP 06/13/2024, including ESY
Hours per Week: 30-32 hours per week
Number of Schools Assigned: 1-2 buildings, encompassing grades K-8

Caseload/Workload Model: The district utilizes a caseload model (Caseload cap details to be discussed)
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a fulfilling contract position in Massachusetts. As an SLP, you will play a vital role in overseeing assessments, conducting student evaluations, writing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), attending meetings, and providing direct therapy to students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language goals.
- Write, update, and maintain accurate IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for student progress.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse communication needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and other school-related gatherings.
- Maintain thorough and organized documentation of student progress and interventions.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Massachusetts.
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in special education.
