Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Massachusetts, USA

Contract Duration: ASAP 06/13/2024, including ESY

Hours per Week: 30-32 hours per week

Number of Schools Assigned: 1-2 buildings, encompassing grades K-8

Job Type: Contract Position

Caseload/Workload Model: The district utilizes a caseload model (Caseload cap details to be discussed)

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a fulfilling contract position in Massachusetts. As an SLP, you will play a vital role in overseeing assessments, conducting student evaluations, writing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), attending meetings, and providing direct therapy to students.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language goals.
  • Write, update, and maintain accurate IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for student progress.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse communication needs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and other school-related gatherings.
  • Maintain thorough and organized documentation of student progress and interventions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in special education.
