This person will work as a member of the Sundog Solar team installing residential, commercial, and municipal solar energy systems. The ideal candidate has high professional standards, a basic technical understanding of solar electric design, and experience installing solar energy systems.
This person is comfortable communicating with customers and is proficient with computers in mac and windows. The ideal candidate is organized, open to collaborating with members of the Sundog Solar team, and works well with others. Preference will be given to SOLAR INSTALLERs who are Licensed Electricians and those who have completed NABCEP certification or are currently in NABCEP training.
Candidates should reside in the region where installations are concentrated, in coastal, island, interior and Southern areas of Maine. Candidates from New England who are interested in relocating to Maine are encouraged to apply.
Additional requirements of the job include the ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and the ability to work efficiently on rooftops. In addition to having the capability to operate company vehicles and equipment in order to travel to job sites as needed, the candidate must have access to an insured personal vehicle for travel and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications:
- Prior solar energy installation experience
- Ability to lift 80 lbs.
- NABCEP certification, State Master Electrical license
- Strong communication skills with coworkers and customers
- Ability to collaborate with members of the Sundog Solar teams
