Full Time Recovery Support Worker
Full-Time 2nd Shift - 3pm to 11pm; Tuesday-Saturday
Position Description & Related Responsibilities
- Note: Base Hourly Rate: $23.00/hr. Position is eligible for $2.25/hr. 2nd Shift differential on top of base rate for a total of $25.25/hr.
- Weekend shifts will also be eligible for an additional $2.00 per hour weekend shift differential for a total of $27.25/hr.
Hope on Haven Hill (HHH) Mission: To provide a nurturing therapeutic home environment to pregnant and postpartum women with substance use disorders seeking a life of recovery.
Reports To: Residential Programs Manager and/or Program Assistant Supervisor
The Recovery Care Specialist is responsible for: monitoring and providing for client safety and support, delivering redirection as necessary, in a high-intensity residential substance use disorder treatment program.
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing emotional support to clients in a manner that empowers client choice by emphasizing strengths.
- Responsible for utilizing trauma-informed interventions and support.
- Responsible for the facilitation of evidence-based psycho-educational groups as approved by the Operations Director and the Clinical Director.
- Responsible for supervision of self-administration of client medications, reviewing documentation of such and ensuring clients are taking medications as prescribed.
- Responsible for monitoring, documenting and reporting all client behaviors, particularly behavior changes, in an accurate and timely manner to supervisor.
- Responsible for monitoring, documenting and reporting client nutritional intake.
- Responsible for immediately contacting on-call supervisory staff as needed.
- Responsible for monitoring the milieu and client bedrooms for safety and cleanliness.
- Conduct routine room checks for safety and cleanliness.
- Responsible for attending all staff meetings and weekly clinical supervision groups.
- Responsible for observation, collection, documentation and proper chain of custody for federal probation and parole urinalysis.
- Any other duties as assigned by Lead Recovery Supervisor, Progam Manager, Clinical Director and/or Executive Director.
Minimum Position Requirements:
- Desire and ability to work with adults with substance use and other mental health disorders.
- Must be CRSW (Certified Recovery Support Worker) or willing to work toward certification within twelve months of employment start date.
- Skilled in using computers: Word, Excel, Access, etc.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently.
- Demonstrated proficiency in excellent customer service.
- Ability to provide input on the creation of new systems and efficiencies.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care to all assigned clients.
- Ability to maintain expectations outlined in Federal and Local standards of confidentiality.
- Ability to maintain and respect clear boundaries with clients.
- Must be high school graduate over 18 years; working towards college degree desirable.
- Confidentiality a must along with knowledge of 42 C.F.R. Part 2 and HIPAA.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- Shift differentials available for 2nd & 3rd shift and weekend shifts.
- Various background checks and medical exams as required by funders.
- Position based in Rochester, NH.
