Full-time Physical Therapist Assistant Faculty

Are you an experienced Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant with a passion for training and teaching others? If so, Hussian College has an opportunity for you as a Physical Therapist Assistant faculty member. Faculty plan, prepare and deliver quality instruction to students by utilizing approved course curriculum and instructional methods that accommodate multiple learning styles. This is a full-time position.
Position Responsibilities:
- Facilitate organized, engaging classes based on course objectives and course curriculum
- Assess student learning using appropriate methods
- Monitor and evaluate student progress; provide feedback and advising to students regarding progress
- Effectively resolves student concerns or complaints
- Participate in new faculty meetings, student orientation, graduation and other campus events, as appropriate
- Participate in professional development activities to maintain currency in the field and with instructional and educational practices and methods
- Other duties as required
Education:
- Associate degree or higher required
Experience:
- Must be a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist assistance who holds an active, unrestricted PT license or PTA license/certification. Must be able to obtain TN license if not currently licensed in TN.
- Minimum of the equivalent of three years full-time post licensure experience within any US jurisdiction
- Prior teaching experience preferred, but Hussian College will provide training
