Healthcare for Kids Inc. provides Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) and Pediatric Day Health Care (PDHC) services for medically-fragile children while receiving ongoing care that cannot easily be provided due to family and friends scheduling limitations. Primary Responsibilities:
- Prioritizes and administers basic Patient Care, such as toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, fresh water and ice, ambulation, comfort measures, and other patient requirements.
- In a timely way, reports and documents Patient Care data and results. Notifies the nurse immediately of any changes in the patient's condition and obtains the necessary support.
- Infection control duties such as changing bed linens, laundry, cleaning patient supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
- Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake & output measurements.
- Lead patient developmental activities and supervise children at play.
- Supervision for, and care of, patients while on bus transport.
- Collaborates and consults with the RN and other multidisciplinary team members to provide optimal Patient Care.
