LOCATIONS:
- Oswego, New York (2 offices - primary location)
- Fulton, New York (1 office - occasional shifts)
The new physician will primarily work in Oswego, with one visit to the Fulton office approximately every 2 weeks. The practice also serves as the Ob/Gyn partner for a hospital in Oswego.
COMPANY PROFILE:
This private Ob/Gyn practice opened in 1960 and is a family business proudly serving the needs of patients in the local area. They currently boast a staff of 2 physicians, 2 certified nurse midwives, and 2 physician assistants, who are supported in their 400+ deliveries per year by a skilled clinical, administrative, and managerial team.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is a full-scope Ob/Gyn position. The practice specializes in:
- obstetrics
- gynecological care
- infertility treatments
- birth control procedures
- HPV screenings
- postpartum care
- pap smears
- weight loss programs
Dependent upon type of appointments scheduled, location for the day, and surgical needs, physicians see a variable number of patients. The office’s scheduling team works hard to ensure that patient volume is reasonable and according to physician preference.
Surgery is done in block scheduling on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. In the office, patients are seen from 8:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm, with a 1-hour break in the middle.
All patients are roomed and prepped by clinical assistants or nurses, who are available to help during appointments as needed.
The practice utilizes the Greenway Prime Suite EHR and has / offers on-site:
- GE 4D ultrasound (with a full-time staff sonographer)
- hysteroscopy services
- colposcopy services
- LEEP
- Mara System for endometrial ablations
- cryosurgery
On-call is currently shared 24-hour coverage with two (2) Ob/Gyn physicians and two (2) certified nurse midwives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- New York medical license
- DEA
- Board Eligible or Certified, Ob/Gyn
- no experience necessary
