Requirements
The applicant must have outstanding oral and written communications; detail oriented; at least two (2) years’ experience in an outpatient setting or in a hospital or clinic; experience with EMRs and clinical note taking; familiarity with medical terminology; and superior patient relation skills. Knowledge of insurance requirements, coding, and prior authorizations helpful, but not essential.
Job Summary
Applicant will be responsible for:
- All aspects of compassionate, comprehensive patient care;
- Preparing patients for appointments, including intake of information and vital signs;
- Attending patient examinations and assisting physicians with all procedures and testing, including EKG’s and spirometry;
- Entering proper documentation for Electronic Health Records;
- Phlebotomy;
- Engaging with patients on follow up calls and after care, including at home testing kits;
- Maintaining, updating and insuring compliance with regard to patient’s charts/records;
- Maintaining and insuring strict compliance on all office processes and protocols;
- Maintaining patient scheduling requirements to insure the most efficient flow of patient interactions;
- Continuing allied medical education;
- Interaction with pharmacies and vendors;
- Administrative compliance, including proper management of documentation
