We are a new 8,000 square foot showroom and interior design studio in the River Oaks area opening Spring 2024. Through our curated retail showroom, we offer an internationally inspired shopping experience with over 20 distinguished vignettes. Guests can relax at the Noeka Home Bar, a sophisticated addition to the showroom that offers a selection of wine and beer. A source for inspiration, our showroom is a destination that blends international allures with accessible luxury.
We are looking for a full-time senior-level Sales & Design Associate. In this position, the Senior Sales & Design Associate will play an integral role in helping customers create their dream spaces by offering expert advice and guidance on product recommendations while keeping in mind the customers design aesthetic and functional needs. Our ideal candidate is upbeat, positive, fashionable and can meet the needs of our upscale showroom clientele and possesses a passion for high-end home furnishings and great design.
Job Responsibilities including, but not limited to:
· Provide exceptional and professional customer service
· Generate showroom sales by engaging with customers, assessing their design and product needs, and providing expert guidance and recommendations on furniture, lighting, art, accessories, and decor options
· Ensure the customer experience is a positive one by maintaining a helpful attitude and following up on customer inquiries in a timely manner
· Provide excellent communication to customers on orders by email, calls and messaging
· Manage, maintain, and grow client base with customers by offering ongoing support and advice as they navigate the design and purchasing process
· Source items customers are looking using our vendor list
· Generate tear sheets, invoices and purchase orders, collect payments, place client and showroom inventory orders, track and follow-up on orders, and provide estimates
· Provide support to inhouse interior designers on products
· Coordinate home and showroom deliveries
· Work with team to drive sales while keeping the customer and their needs at the forefront of these efforts
· Collaborate, research, and offer sales strategies to management
· Research, learn and study product line offerings, options for customization, product lead times and availability
· Stay current on industry trends and new product introductions and share this information with customers and team members
· Meet with vendors sales representatives to remain up to date on new products and design trends
· Assist with planning, setting up, hosting when needed, and attend showroom and industry events
· Collaborate, research, and offer sales strategies to management
· Maintain cleanliness of the showroom and ensure the showroom is always in presentable condition
· Advise management of inventory needs, what customers are asking for, what products are doing really well and where there are gaps or changes needed
· Assist with showroom staging and coordinate showroom art installations and repairs as needed
· Manage the opening and closing of the showroom per company procedures
· Collaborate with management on orders to meet the needs of the showroom
· Ensure fabric room is organized, existing fabrics are put away in correct places, new fabrics are logged and placed in appropriate section, organize wood finishes and coordinate with vendor sales reps on new and old samples
· Organize all vendor catalogs, coordinate new catalog intake, and manage digital catalogs and price lists
· Generate and place price tags for new merchandise or items with missing tags
· Ensure vendor contact information is up to date and the login information is captured correctly and updated in QuickBooks
· Update signage and help with sales and special promotions
· Serve wine, beer and coffee at times when bartender is out
· Handles routine purchasing transactions including operating point of sale (POS) system, accounting of daily sales and efficiently and correctly inputting customer orders
· Other projects and duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
· Proven experience in a customer-facing sales role, with a strong emphasis on interior design or home furnishings
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers
· Ability to think creatively, visualize, and present space plans and design concepts to customers
· Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales goals
· Passionate about luxury products, interior design, architecture, and/or fashion
· Ability to contribute to a positive work environment where collaboration is key

· A minimum of two years sales experience in home furnishings
· High School Diploma
· College degree preferred (but not required), preferably in a creative field, business, or marketing
· One or more years working with POS, preferably Shopify
· Preferably one or more years QuickBooks experience
· Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
· Must obtain or have food handler permit and TABC seller training
· Proficient with Microsoft Office and PC systems
· Position may require flexibility in hours and days worked and include some weekends or evenings
Store hours: Monday-Saturday 11am – 7pm and Sunday noon-5pm
Schedule: Hours 35-40 per week Sunday – Thursday
Pay: Hourly base pay + eligible for quarterly commission

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
