THE ROLE
Based at Fisherman Island, the Operator will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and front end loaders used by Qube as part of its operations.
This role is a casual position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Warehouse loading / unloading bulk material and general cargo.
- Inspecting equipment for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Planning and meeting receival & delivery schedules.
- Input "macros" into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
- Comply with operational procedures and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures
- Manoeuvre equipment into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Forklift Licence (essential)
- Experience operating Forklift up to 35 tonne (preferred)
- Front End Loader Licence (essential)
- Rigging/Dogman ticket (preferred)
- Load Restraint Training (preferred)
- Working at Height Training (preferred)
- Eligible to hold or have a current MSIC clearance
- Basic understanding of warehousing and inventory principles and practices
- Adequate numeracy and literacy
