Responsibilities
- Provides engaging, friendly and helpful customer service to all customers.
- Handles any customer comments/complaints in the store or on the phone.
- Learns our bakery products, ingredients, prices, and packaging, in order to answer questions and make suggestions to customers.
- Maintains a clean sales area (cases, workstations, equipment, etc.).
- Manages the point of sale (POS) system; managing all cash functions and exchanges, following proper cash and credit card handling procedures.
- Assists customers in planning and placing their customized product orders, via our call center.
- Responsible for ordering products.
- Oversees Sales Associates during scheduled shifts.
- Assists in training new Sales Associates.
- Assigns duties to sales team to effectively make use of down time (merchandising, cleaning, product training, etc.).
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to courteously and efficiently manage customer questions and/or difficult service situations in a high traffic sales environment.
- Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
- Customer focused, with strong interpersonal communication and math skills to process customer orders.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Excellent organizational skills and effective time management skills.
- Attention to detail and presentation.
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, which include, but are not limited to, seeing, speaking, hearing, standing for the duration of your shift, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, kneeling, crouching, and being around varying temperatures (cold coolers).
Hours
- Full-Time; 40 hours/week
- Must have flexibility to work varying shifts, based on business demands, including early mornings, evenings, Saturdays (required) and holidays.
- Shifts vary between the hours of 6 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday
- Closed Sundays and on major holidays, which include New Year?s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.
- Must be available to work on ?All Hands on Deck Days.?
Additional Information
- Must be able to pass a drug and background screening test prior to hire (for those applicants over 18 years of age only).
- ServSafe® Food Safety Certification is a contingency of employment for this position. Ability to obtain ServSafe® Food Safety Certification immediately following the completion of initial 90-day training period, pending course availability.
- Will be required to wear slip resistant shoes during your shift.
Work Location
- 5200 Brightwood Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102; must be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate prior to starting work.
